No your eyes are not fooling you. I did photograph this church two days ago. Todays photo was taken around 3:00. The sun was shining directly behind the church. I was once again stopped at a red light. This time around I was able to get more the church in the frame, as well as an art installation from the Maryland Institute of Art. I also found out the name of the church is Corpus Christi.
