Day 11

Today was a rainy day to end March. I ventured into the industrial semi-abandoned South end of Baltimore. The rain and fog was a perfect match for the bleakness of the area.  These are the still in use railroad tracks. They serve the dual function of transporting freight, and the MARC commuters to Washington DC.

Day 10

Today was another tough one. I went outside to get some shots of an approaching storm. When I got back inside I realized I had my camera on manual focus.  Not one of the shots turned out. This lead unexpectedly into my bathroom, to shoot a still life of my faucet.

I am not sure what inspired me to do so, but it didn't turn all that bad.

Day 9

Today was a busy day. I worked from 11-8, so that did not leave a lot of time for photography. When I got home I went straight for the easiest target, our cat Pablo.  He will give you a photo op anytime you need it.

Day 8

Baltimore is a great city, and has made great strides in recent years but..... it also has it scenes straight out of the wire.

Day 7

While visiting North Point State Park on a cold Monday morning  I saw the beginnings of spring.  A flower here or there was poking through. Today on a gloomy raining day in Baltimore I saw the trees start to come to life.

Day 6

Today's pic is a rare self-portrait. Unfortunately, I do not feel well today. I had a sleep study done last night, and got no sleep. I wanted to do a self pic today because one can see the mark left by the mask. Let me tell you it hurts like hell.

Day 5- Part Two

After sorting the pics from today.  I realized also like this one a lot. It is a little over saturated, but I think it gives the photo, a old-timey feel.

Day 5

Spring is finally here. This winter seemed to last forever. I went hiking today at North Point State Park. The overall shoot was disappointing. There was not a cloud in the sky, and sun was overhead most of my time out there. This was the one redeeming image, a tulip along a trail opening up.

Day 4

I took this photo with my iPhone through my front windshield.  I thought it looked like a talking god cloud.

Day 3

Happy Easter!!  Today was a tough day to pic a photo.  I had to choose between a pic that summed up the day, and the best pic of the day. So I decided to post them both.  The first one is a pic of the ham that I gorged myself on today, and the second is of our street this evening.

Day 2

This picture pretty much sums up my Saturday night, beer and watching TV with Amy.

Day 1

Day 1 is a basic start to the project a cell phone pic of my dog Iris.
She sleeps next to me so she is usually the first and last thing I see
each day. In the background you can see Zoe my other dog, and on top of the TV Mona my cat.

Welcome to the 366

Welcome to the 366 Photography blog.  What is the 366 photography blog you ask? Well it is my take on a popular phenomena on Flickr of taking a photo a day and posting it. I am going to take it one step further and hope each photo is pertinent to my day, and blog about it.

Why 366? I thought I would try to be different and post for 366 straight days instead of 365. Actually the truth is the name 365 was already taken.  So hope you enjoy the journey with me.
